THE GIFTS FROM MT. FUJI
FUJI Whisky is named after the most iconic landmark in Japan, Mt. Fuji, a UNESCO World Heritage site, cultural inspiration, and the location of Mt. Fuji Distillery just 7.5 miles from the mountain’s peak, surrounded by lush forest. Established in 1973 to bring the best of Japanese craftsmanship with Scottish, American, and Canadian technology under one roof, it is the closest distillery to Mt. Fuji in all of Japan. It is this single estate approach which gives Master Blender Jota Tanaka full terroir influence and control to create our signature “clean & estery” expressions, that are floral and fruity in character.
HOW TO ENJOY
This is the FUJI version of a Highball, elevated and served in a Champagne flute. Elegant, refined and allowing the delicious aromas and flavors of FUJI Single Grain to refresh your palate, Master Blender Jota Tanaka crafted this signature cocktail as the perfect aperitif.
•1.5 ounces FUJI Single Grain Japanese Whiskey
•4 ounces Club soda
•Yuzu or lemon twist for garnish
We recommend keeping the Champagne flutes, whiskey and Club soda ice cold before preparing the cocktail.
All of our FUJI Whiskies can be enjoyed “Mizuwari” or cut with water. Adding a generous teaspoon of water to your whisk(e)y in our signature Kimura glass, or a Sauvignon Blanc wine glass, will elevate the aromas and layers of flavors. It’s a contemporary new way to enjoy your favorite FUJI expression.
•1.5 ounces FUJI Whisk(ey) of your choice
We recommend using a soft water containing less than 80 parts per million of calcium carbonate. Volvic, which is volcanic filtered, is a great option, and similar to the water profile from our distillery aquifer. Distilled water is another pure alternative.
FUJI NEW FASHIONED
The versatility of FUJI Japanese Whisky shines on our riff of one of America’s most popular cocktail, the Old Fashioned.
•2 ounces FUJI Japanese Whisky
•1 teaspoon sugar
•3 dashes Angostura bitters
•1 teaspoon water
